Nesting Instinct

When Jenny first introduced the concept of "nesting instinct" to me, I find it really interesting that nature is capable of preparing the pregnant mother to behave like a bird, frantically preparing the nest=home for the arrival of the little one. But I've never really thought about how this instinct would affect me until a few days ago.

After Dr Chan's advice that baby would arrive sooner than the EDD,I started cleaning the baby's room again and took out all her bottles and feeding equipment to wash and sterilise. I even stayed up late to clear Iain's pile of books and notes in the study room which should be of the least importance because that room would be out of bounds to baby. Then I realised that the nesting instinct had hit me so hard that Iain had to stop me from clearing the whole house and exhausting myself before labour starts.

Well, this instinct took on a different form yesterday.I became very motivated to decorate her room and brighten it up. I went out to buy a packet of coloured papers and started cutting flowers and butterflies for her room.
And this is the end result of the effort, which is definitely more enjoyable than the cleaning and clearing :)
