Secret Life of Bees

I never realised that I was so "starved" for a good novel to read. The urge to do a "reading marathon" was nudging and I randomly picked up a book from Harris during my weekend grocery shopping.Staring at the book, I was hesitant to buy it because I was not confident if I could find the time to complete the book or sustain the interest. Nonetheless, I decided to try the first few chapters before I make a judgement. Anyway, I thought the story won't be that boring since it was one of the best sellers in NY.

The title which I picked up was "The Secret Life of Bees" by Sue Monk Kidd. After I was done with the first 2 chapters, I realised I couldn't put down the book. The story was so captivating that I "feasted" on it for 3 nights in a row and finished it. Yes, I have to wait till Eliza has fallen asleep before I could enjoy my read. But it's all worth it. The storyline is fantastic and I strongly recommend this for my JMs especially if you love memoirs and you miss those "reading marathons" like I do :)
