Of life and friends

Finally, I'm feeling well enough to sit in front of the laptop to write something. It's been eleven weeks already and I'm feeling so blessed that my nauseousness is going away soon. At least it got better at the start of this week and I could taste some "real food" rather than plain crackers and wholemeal bread.Think I will stay away from Meiji plain crackers, Digestive bisuits, wholemeal bread and fish porridge for a long time. Hmm, maybe I should start drawing up my "dream" lunch menu since I'm at the famous makan area at Amoy St: Mon = curry mee, Tues = fishball noodles with lots of chilli, Wed = Char Kuay Teow, Thurs = Nasi lemak, Fri= Beef noodles...

Btw, I know some of my Jie Meis will "jump" before they come to this paragraph because I've never announced my pregnancy to them. I guess the nauseousness has worn out the initial excitement of sharing about my pregnancy. So, I will leave this as status quo until I "hear" the exclamations from my MSN or SMS and will do "damage control" from there :P

Well, talking about my Jie Meis...I just called Shy Rainbow and chatted with her briefly as I couldn't meet her this week before she leaves. I feel quite sad that she will be away for 4 months.(..there will be one less person to organise our monthly JMO...)Yet, I know this is the best arrangement for her as she needs to spend quality time with her hubby-to-be.I guess this also signals the start of a new stage in her life and our friendship. Isn't that what Jie Meis are for? We grow together as our life stages change... And that's what strengthens our friendships over the years :)
